• Position: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Location: Los Angeles, CA 90095 (California healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Teaching Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Specialty: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:00; Night: 19:00–07:00), including weekends, holidays, and nights
• Contract Length: 26 weeks (flexible; minimum 13 weeks)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025 (ASAP/flexible)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 12 hours

Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct experience as a Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Direct pediatric cardiac ICU experience required (Adult-only APPs or Peds ICU APPs without cardiac experience not eligible)
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in California (required at time of application)
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities – Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner

• Deliver advanced clinical care to pediatric patients in the Cardiac ICU
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment
• Participate in patient rounds, care planning, and family communication
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed
• Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions
• Support the Pediatric Cardiac ICU during weekends, holidays, and night shifts as scheduled
